Our Mission
Our advocacy represents the interests of large, transmission-connected industrial power consumers in Alberta, striving to ensure their access to affordable electricity.
We empower our members with critical insights, enabling them to navigate the complexities of a rapidly evolving energy landscape and make informed, strategic decisions to enhance their operational competitiveness.
Our History
The Alberta Direct Connect Consumer Association (ADC) was founded in 2002, during a period of significant changes and deregulation in Alberta's electricity market. Established to represent the interests of large power users in the province, ADC has played a pivotal role in advocating for policies and rates that ensure a more efficient, affordable, and sustainable power supply.
As Alberta now faces an unprecedented transformation of the electricity system, ADC continues to be at the forefront, supporting legislative changes and regulatory regimes that benefit large industrial operations and contribute to the province's energy transition and economic growth.
